Domaine de Bel-Air

An exceptional wine which owes nothing to chance.

In Culoz, in the heart of the Bugey, the Domaine de Bel-Air was born to be highly individual. Nestled in the circle formed by the Grand Colombier, on deep and steeply sloping clay-chalk soil, it turns its back on the North and faces straight into the South.

Here, in this soft and clement micro-climate, appreciated throughout the ages by “the cricket and the wine-grower”, the Romans brought the vine and the Monks of Arvières made it prosperous.

Now, Gilles Gardoni, the winegrower at the Domaine, guarantees that it will live on. The meticulous demands of this captain of industry naturally introduced Bel-Air into the world of perfection.

Wine-making based on integrated agriculture, deliberately low yields, production methods before their time and consistent maturing has brought Bel-Air to the very top.
